A Heart for Nigeria - GNR Interview

Our Health Center supports the local people with maternity care.  Health care provision in Nigeria is a concurrent responsibility of the three tiers of government in the country. However, because Nigeria operates a mixed economy, private providers of health care have a visible role to play in health care delivery. The federal government's role is mostly limited to coordinating the affairs of the university teaching hospitals, while the state government manages the various general hospitals and the local government focus on dispensaries.

Many pregnant women die at home or at local churches while having babies because they could not afford hospital payments.  Also, many hospitals do not attend to the patients that have no means of payment.  This has to be changed.  Our Goals are to:

  • To support the government and local hospitals in providing care for the needy.
  • To provide accessible and affordable health care
  • To provide best quality health care for all people in our community
As a Christian organization, we will always be available for the people – Christian health institutions never go on strike, and also to provide dependable supply of quality generic drugs.  More information will posted as outreach develops.
